I Rock. I Schmooze. I'm Just Awesome That Way.

I was going to do another Friendly Friday post, because I didn't forget and I am not bored with it yet, but I have been tagged with meme's and awarded up the wazoo, plus I wanted to pimp some contests, so I figured I will do that instead. In fact, I will do the meme's this weekend or this post will be too long. Who wants to be tagged?!

First, Mel awarded me with the Rockin' Girl Blogger award. This is my second time bestowed with this honor, so I am just going to thank Mel, and refer the rest of you to my original post. (I know. I cheated.)

Then, almost the same day, Shelli awarded me with the Schmooze Award.

Schmoozing, as defined by Dictionary.com is the ability “to converse casually, especially in order to gain an advantage or make a social connection.” When it comes to blogging, schmoozing is your ticket to making new friends, getting yourself noticed and building a reputation. Some blogger’s are gifted with the ability to effectively schmooze and others not so much.

Now for the Schmooze rules:

1. If, and only if, you get the Thinking Blogger Award or The Power of Schmooze Award, write a post with links that make you think, or have schmoozed you into submission.

2. Link to this post and Mike so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme.

2. BlondeBlogger at A Blonde Walks Into a Blog - Blonde called into Mr. Fab's radio show when I co-hosted. I tried to visit everyone that called in, and boy did we have a lot in common. And darn it if I haven't been to visit every day since. Even if she hasn't posted. Just to make sure my feed reader isn't broken.


3. Shades - Shades got me started on blogging, and I have been reading her blog since. You can't get more schmoozy than that!


4. Jen at Casual Slack - I can't resist the Slack!


5. Mik at Slightly Morbid - Ok, it is really Slight Mordant, but I always read it as Morbid first for some reason. I started reading Mik's blog about the same time as Blonde, and I keep going back. I think that's pretty smoozy.
